Following the trend of Christmas initiatives, Sabadell City Council has launched a Spotify playlist featuring songs by various artists who will perform at the upcoming Festa Major. The aim is for attendees to "whet their appetite" before the concerts.
Names such as Nil Moliner, Macaco, Doctor Prats, La la Love You, as well as local artists 31 FAM, Ven’nus, and Roger Padrós, will be part of this year's lineup, which runs from September 4th to 7th.
Last year, changes were made to the entry and exit procedures for concerts at Eix Macià following incidents caused by large crowds at Juan Magán's performance. This year, signage will be improved, and the giant screen, introduced for acts like Abraham Mateo and Chenoa, will be raised to enhance visibility. Video production will also be implemented to provide better image quality on the screens.
The main musical program, presented about a month ago, includes major concerts across different venues. On Friday, La la Love You will perform at Eix Macià, while Roger Padrós will be at Plaça Sant Roc. On Saturday, Nil Moliner will headline, followed by Macaco at Eix Macià. At L'Estruch, Ven’nus and Lucien will perform.
On Sunday, the urban night at Eix Macià will feature Doctor Prats and 31 FAM. At L'Estruch, attendees can enjoy the film concert by the Simfònica del Vallès, and Plaça Vallès will host a night of habaneras. The festival will conclude on Monday night with Hotel Cochambre, following the fireworks display.
Additionally, Plaça de La Creu Alta and the area around Teatre Sant Vicenç will host a new edition of the SAM Fest. Many of the Eix Macià concerts will be preceded by performances from groups associated with the Coordinadora de Música de Sabadell (CMS).
The Spotify playlist includes tracks such as "Libertad" by Nil Moliner, "Caminem junts" and "Les nits no moren mai" by Doctor Prats, "Moving" and "Con la mano levantá" by Macaco, and "El fin del mundo" by La la Love You, among other hits from the participating artists.
