Sabadell Approves 2027 Holiday Calendar

The municipality will observe two local holidays: Aplec de la Salut on May 10th and Festa Major on September 6th.

The municipal plenary of Sabadell has approved the working holiday calendar for 2027, establishing two local days in addition to regional and national holidays.

Residents of Sabadell will have two local holidays in 2027. The first will be Monday, May 10th, coinciding with the Aplec de la Salut (Health Gathering). The second local holiday will occur on Monday, September 6th, for the Festa Major de Sabadell (Sabadell's Main Festival). The date for Aplec remains the Monday after the second Sunday in May, while Festa Major will continue to be the Monday following the first Friday in September.
The Festa Major celebrations will span several days, including Thursday, September 2nd, Friday, September 3rd, Saturday, September 4th, and Sunday, September 5th.
Meanwhile, the Generalitat de Catalunya (Catalan Government) approved the working holiday calendar for next year approximately two months ago. These holidays will be distributed throughout 2027 as follows:
Friday, January 1st: New Year's Day
Wednesday, January 6th: Epiphany (Three Kings' Day)
Friday, March 26th: Good Friday
Monday, March 29th: Easter Monday (Florida)
Saturday, May 1st: Labour Day
Monday, May 10th: Aplec de la Salut (local)
Thursday, June 24th: Sant Joan (Saint John's Day)
Sunday, August 15th: Assumption Day
Monday, September 6th: Festa Major (local)
Saturday, September 11th: National Day of Catalonia
Tuesday, October 12th: Hispanic Day
Monday, November 1st: All Saints' Day
Monday, December 6th: Constitution Day
Wednesday, December 8th: Immaculate Conception
Saturday, December 25th: Christmas Day
Sunday, December 26th: Boxing Day (Sant Esteve)
It is important to note that August 15th and December 26th fall on a Sunday, meaning they will not be considered working holidays despite being listed on the official calendar.
