The city of Sabadell is hosting the 50th Catalan Indoor Athletics Championships today, featuring a high-level lineup of international athletes aiming for world qualification marks.

Girona-born middle-distance runner Elvin Josué Canales, a bronze medalist at the Nanjing 2025 World Championships, is the headline act. Canales will step up to the 1,500m event today, facing tough competition from training partner Adam Maijó.
