Sabadell City Council has activated a special security operation for the night of June 23, increasing police presence and emergency services to ensure public safety.

The operation, involving the Municipal Police and the Mossos d'Esquadra, aims to minimize risks during one of the busiest nights of the year. According to municipal sources, a significant reinforcement of police officers is planned, with patrols focusing on leisure areas to prevent anti-social behavior, sexual assaults, and the possession of bladed weapons.
In addition to public safety, the Generalitat Firefighters and the Forest Defense Group (ADF) have doubled their on-call staff to respond to potential fire emergencies. Prevention efforts have been bolstered by increased investment in trail maintenance and clearing forest margins, where the use of fireworks is prohibited within 500 meters.

"We want to minimize the risks associated with one of the most active nights of the year and will make a large part of our public services available to the citizens to achieve this."

The action plan also includes reinforced cleaning services. On June 23, paper and cardboard bins will be emptied to prevent fires, and an intensive street cleaning operation is scheduled for the morning of the 24th. Authorities remind citizens of the importance of purchasing fireworks only from authorized establishments and acting responsibly throughout the celebration.
