Sabadell returns to normalcy after windstorm causes 300 incidents

Mayor Marta Farrés confirms no injuries were reported despite dozens of fallen trees and material damage.

The Mayor of Sabadell, Marta Farrés, confirmed this Friday that the city is returning to normalcy following a severe windstorm that caused hundreds of material incidents but no injuries.

The storm reached its peak last Thursday, resulting in 328 emergency calls. High winds damaged urban furniture, traffic signs, and several parked vehicles across the city.

"No injuries were recorded during the wind episode, which was the municipal government's main priority."

Regarding environmental damage, around 30 trees fell within the urban area and 19 more in the outskirts, including the Can Deu forest. Local emergency services coordinated effectively to manage the risks.
