The Minister of Business and Labour, Miquel Sàmper, visited Terrassa this Wednesday to demand a reduction in administrative red tape currently stalling key industrial projects like Palau Sud-Can Guitard.

During his visit, Sàmper emphasized that the Vallès region is fundamental for the reindustrialization of Catalonia. He noted that Terrassa is an ideal location for disruptive sectors such as semiconductors and AI, provided that local industrial estates are completed quickly.

"We have suffered for many years from hyper-regulation that makes permits slow."

The Palau Sud-Can Guitard project is currently delayed due to environmental permits from the Catalan Water Agency (ACA). The Minister urged both the Generalitat and Terrassa City Council to accelerate these processes to ensure international investments become a reality.
