Sant Cugat celebrates fourth day of Festa Major with rice contest and music

The Festa Major of Sant Cugat reaches its fourth day on Sunday, June 28th, with a varied program featuring the 45th Rice Contest, popular music and dance performances, and activities for all audiences.

The 45th Rice Contest stands out as one of the day's main events, gathering over a thousand participants on Can Volpelleres Avenue. Catalan tradition will also play a significant role with the Matinada Bastonera (early morning stick dance), the Gathering of dances and traditional figures from across Catalonia, and a nocturnal procession.
Music will fill various city spaces with offerings such as concerts by Fetus, The Slingshots, and the Orquestra Diletant de Catalunya. The festivities will extend into the early morning with performances and activities at Can Vernet Park and other stages.
The day's schedule also includes the Flea Market, a theatrical guided tour about photographer Antoni Campañà, children's activities in Central Park, and dances for seniors at the Senior Citizens' Center.
