The tenth edition of the Penedès–VilaJuga Play Days will take place on the weekend of October 3rd and 4th at the Vilafranca Fair Pavilion. This year, the event is growing and will occupy the entirety of the facilities to offer a more complete experience to attendees, surpassing the previous edition's record of 6,200 people.
VilaJuga's main objective remains to provide an inclusive and accessible leisure space for all ages, constantly seeking to attract new audiences. The game library will feature over 400 games, alongside tournaments, raffles, role-playing sessions, and miniature game demonstrations. Game stores, publishers, and authors will also be present. The "play passport" system will be maintained to facilitate participation in activities, game borrowing, and access to raffles.
As a notable novelty, an official Rubik's Cube competition will be held throughout the weekend, organized in collaboration with the Catalan Speedcubing Association and recognized by the World Cube Association. This initiative expands the edition's competitive event offerings.
The reorganization of spaces will allow for better distribution. The children's area will move to the central enclosed court, while the movement area, including go-karts, will occupy the pavilion's last court. Additionally, the dining options have been expanded with the inclusion of various establishments such as Minoria Absoluta, Mestizo, La Pizzeria d’Itàlia, El Follet Golafre, and Azúcar Moreno.
Family activities will also be strengthened with the participation of Somriu, Translació i Famílies, and the new additions of Ikigai and Espai. The event's promotion has been intensified in Vilafranca and throughout the Penedès region through posters, flyers, social media, and advertising banners.
