The Sant Cugat del Vallès City Council approved an institutional motion this February to demand that the Department of Health implement 24-hour in-person pediatric emergency services at the local CUAP.

The proposal, originally introduced by the People's Party, received unanimous support. The approved text urges the Generalitat de Catalunya to ensure the Primary Care Emergency Center (CUAP) is staffed with pediatric specialists every day of the year.

"Immediately implement in-person pediatric emergencies with pediatric staff at the Sant Cugat CUAP, 24 hours a day, seven days a week."

Additionally, municipal groups in Sant Cugat del Vallès have agreed to demand pediatric care on Saturday mornings as a temporary measure until the full 24/7 service is established.
