The city of Sant Cugat del Vallès has confirmed its status as a leading business hub in Catalonia, with its 3,000 companies generating a total turnover of 13.699 billion euros.

According to the Barcelona Provincial Council 2025 report, the city ranks third in the province for business volume. The local economy is driven by a diverse ecosystem, including US giant Cargill, which leads the local ranking with 1.894 billion euros.
Other major contributors include Europastry, Boehringer Ingelheim, and Grifols. The report highlights that Sant Cugat's strength lies in its variety of sectors, from food supply and pharmaceuticals to pool equipment leader Fluidra.
