Hotel establishments in Sant Cugat del Vallès are reporting 83% occupancy ahead of the Mobile World Congress, establishing the city as a key accommodation alternative for Barcelona.

The twentieth edition of the Mobile World Congress, starting this Monday, March 2nd, has triggered high demand in the Vallès Occidental region. With a global forecast of 110,000 visitors and an economic impact of 585 million euros, Sant Cugat's excellent rail links have led most hotels to reach full capacity.
According to Booking data, just days before the event, only three hotels still had rooms available: AC Hotel Sant Cugat by Marriott, Qgat Restaurant Events & Hotel, and Holiday Inn Barcelona - Sant Cugat. In these instances, prices for a three-night stay range between 700 and 1,200 euros.
These rates are nearly double the standard prices. The typical guest profile in the city during these dates is strictly professional, linked to the tech sector, making this week the true peak season for the local hotel industry, surpassing the summer months.
