The Mayor of Sant Cugat del Vallès, Josep Maria Vallès, has revealed that the City Council is struggling to find an operator for the Mira-sol swimming pool.

To overcome the lack of interest from private companies, the local government has launched a unified tender. This new process includes both the swimming pool and the construction of a fitness room, which belongs to the second phase of the project, in hopes of making the contract more financially viable.
The Mira-sol pool has been a local demand for over 25 years. Despite various promises, the facility remains unfinished. Vallès declined to provide a specific opening date, noting that the construction company has yet to complete the first phase of the works, which began following a long history of delays dating back to 2007.

"We are looking for an operator for the Mira-sol pool, but it is complicated."
