Over 900 people joined the traditional Via Crucis on Good Friday in Sant Cugat del Vallès, filling the central streets in a procession that lasted approximately an hour and a half.

Good Friday in Sant Cugat del Vallès was marked by the successful turnout for its Via Crucis. Following the mass at Sant Pere church, citizens accompanied the procession through the town's most central streets.
For nearly an hour and a half, the prayers and hymns of the attendees guided this walk of faith. According to data provided by the parish, the traditional event brought together over 900 people, solidifying its place as a prominent event in the local religious calendar.
The Via Crucis, which commemorates the 14 stations of Jesus' journey from the Passion to his death, was revived in the city over two decades ago. The route begins and ends at the Monastery church, passing through emblematic streets such as carrer Major, Sabadell, Pep Ventura, Plana de l'Hospital, and the llotgeta.
The procession was led by the figure of the Crucified Christ, an imposing solid walnut wood carving. This piece, weighing 46 kilograms and standing almost two meters tall, is carried by bearers. A smaller figure precedes the main carving, leading the procession.
