The Public Health Department and the Association of Families of Alzheimer's Patients (AFA-VO) have organized this initiative to raise awareness about the care and support services available in the municipality for families affected by the disease.
The Respir program is offered on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10:15 AM to 1:15 PM at the Can Folguera Civic Center. This space is designed to work on the cognitive abilities of affected individuals and provides free time for caregivers.
Additionally, on Wednesdays from 12 PM to 1 PM, psychological support is provided to patients. On Fridays, starting at 1 PM, therapeutic sessions and individual follow-up interviews are held for patients and families. The third Friday of each month features mutual support sessions (GAM).
The objective of this program is to improve the quality of life for caregivers and to offer information, guidance, and support to families living with Alzheimer's and other dementias.
