Six Rubí companies complete Sustainable Industry program

The initiative, promoted by the Barcelona Provincial Council and the Terrassa Chamber of Commerce, aims for more sustainable and competitive models for industrial SMEs.

Six companies from Rubí have successfully completed the Sustainable Industry Program, an initiative driving the transition towards more sustainable and competitive models in the industrial sector.

Six companies from Rubí have successfully completed the Sustainable Industry Program, an initiative promoted by the Barcelona Provincial Council and the Terrassa Chamber of Commerce. The program has supported industrial SMEs in their transition towards more sustainable, competitive models aligned with environmental, social, and good governance criteria.
Out of the seven Rubí companies that showed interest, six have finished the program: Alsico Iberia, Arogreen, Decopak, Escuder, Inkator, and Vicente Torns. These six companies represent nearly 29% of the 21 companies that completed the program overall, demonstrating strong involvement from the local industrial fabric in sustainability initiatives.
The program aligns with the strategy of the Rubí Circular Economy Network (XEC Rubí), which connects companies, knowledge, resources, and opportunities to foster the circular economy and business competitiveness. Five of the seven participating Rubí companies are part of this network, reinforcing its role as a hub for business connections.
Participating companies rated the program an average of 9.52 out of 10, highlighting personalized technical support, practical tools, and acquired knowledge on double materiality and sustainability indicators. The exchange of experiences among companies was also positively valued.
The program has enabled companies to structure strategic sustainability plans, organize information, prioritize actions, and define a roadmap for progressive advancement. This initiative also aligns with the objectives of the Rubí Industrial Competitiveness Council (TCIR) and the municipality's Circular and Digital Economy Master Plan.
The XEC Rubí continues to offer comprehensive and free support to companies, facilitating access to information, training, specialized advice, and collaborative projects to enhance their competitiveness and advance in the circular economy.
