The participant, who arrived in Gran Canaria on the Tuesday before the gala, describes the competition week as
very intense
. In addition to rehearsals for the final gala, candidates undergo various challenges, including talent, sports, and
top model
. There are also parades and a pre-gala, where they showcase regional costumes, all under the scrutiny of the jury and organization.
For the talent segment, the candidate chose an artistic expression, drawing on her experience with sculptures at the Municipal School of Art and Design of Terrassa. Her journey to Miss World Spain began in 2024 as Miss Catalonia, and she later became a fourth finalist in a national competition without prior preparation. Subsequently, she had the opportunity to be a candidate for Miss World Catalonia, where she received training and was crowned Miss World Barcelona, leading her to the current competition after a year of preparation.
Throughout this year, preparation has primarily focused on oratory, deemed a crucial aspect due to its importance in communicating with the media and during jury interviews. The candidate emphasizes that the pageant extends beyond beauty, with the
golden minute
, a public address when among the top five finalists, being the most demanding moment.
Her academic background, including a master's in communication and culture and a comprehensive course in radio, television, and podcasting, has been fundamental to her confidence and development. She currently works at Canal Terrassa, which provides constant exposure to media.
The candidate's social project addresses the empowerment of older adults and the fight against ageism. Inspiration came from a university colleague who graduated at 74 years old with excellence. This experience led her to research and discover that, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), one in two people holds ageist attitudes. She has collaborated with Factoria Social de Terrassa, volunteering in a residence and seeking to raise awareness about this discrimination.
Regarding aesthetic preparation, the focus is on autonomy, with classes in self-makeup, self-hairstyling, and personal image, aiming to connect with oneself and confidently take the stage. The public can also vote via the 1Zone application, although the candidate prefers the final result to depend on the jury for greater objectivity.
