Terrassa celebrates a weekend full of cultural and festive events

The city hosts fairs, neighborhood festivals, musicals, theater, and concerts on May 30th and 31st.

This weekend, May 30th and 31st, Terrassa is buzzing with activity with a diverse cultural agenda including fairs, neighborhood festivals, musical and theatrical performances, and concerts.

The city of Terrassa is preparing for an intensive weekend of cultural and festive events, coinciding with the arrival of good weather. The days of Saturday, May 30th, and Sunday, May 31st, will be marked by a variety of offerings for all audiences.
Among the highlighted events is the Can Boada Medieval Fair, inviting a journey back in time. Additionally, several neighborhoods are celebrating their local festivals, such as Segle XX, Pla del Bonaire, and Ca n’Aurell, promoting community cohesion.
The 'gegants' (giants) culture will have special prominence with the 14th Antoni Messeguer Day, organized by the Geganters de Terrassa this Saturday. The event will include the premiere of a small replica of the Old Giants, encouraging participation from younger individuals. The activities will commence at 5:30 PM in the plaça Vella and will feature invited groups and the Banda de Terrassa.
The Salesians Theater will host the musical Mañana, an adaptation of the film Annie, on both Saturday and Sunday at 5:30 PM. The show promises joy and emotion with a production performed by teenagers.
At the Coro Vell, on Saturday at 7:00 PM, the play Deshauciadas by the company Grup de Teatre Menos es Mas will be presented. The piece addresses the challenges faced by three generations of women confronting economic and emotional crises.
The Teatre Principal will present the show Una nit monumental, by Guifré Baró Espectacles, on Saturday at 8:00 PM. This musical recreates the atmosphere of Barcelona in 1954 with Xavier Cugat and Abbe Lane.
The Nova Jazz Cava will host a jazz concert on Saturday at 9:30 PM titled Tribute To Nat King Cole & Johnny Hartman, led by singer and guitarist Erwyn Seerutton, paying homage to these two legends of the genre.
On Sunday at 5:30 PM, the Sala Xavi Sallent will be the venue for the theatrical performance Un cadàver a les postres, by the company Les Pisanes, as part of the Escenes Locals cycle. Admission is free until capacity is reached.
Finally, on Sunday at 6:00 PM, the Teatre Principal presents the play Göteborg, directed by Jordi Casanovas and starring Maria Molins, Roger Coma, Berta Rabascall, and Jan Mediavilla. The play explores memories and mysteries from a past journey.
