Two months ago, complaints were made public regarding the conditions of the canteen service in the city's public schools. Reports indicated insufficient portions, leading to children experiencing hunger, a situation that caused concern among families.
Initially, the City Council defended its control and monitoring of the service, considering the complaints as isolated incidents. However, given the persistence of suspected irregularities, inspections have been carried out, confirming several shortcomings.
Among the identified deficiencies are portions below recommended grammages, insufficient protein in some menus, issues with ingredient quality, and deficiencies in the maintenance of equipment and utensils used for the service.

As a result of these findings, the local government has announced the opening of an informative file against the concessionaire Mediterranea de Catering SLU to clarify the facts and take appropriate corrective measures.
