Terrassa FC's Play-off Hopes Diminish After Defeat Against Poblense

A 2-3 home loss to Poblense severely complicates Terrassa FC's aspirations to reach the promotion play-offs.

Terrassa FC suffered a tough 2-3 defeat against Poblense, a result that drastically reduces their chances of qualifying for the promotion play-offs in the upcoming matchday.

The match, played in Terrassa, began with initial dominance from Poblense, although the first clear opportunities went to the home side. After an intentional shot by Guti was saved by the visiting goalkeeper, Larry opened the scoring with a powerful shot from outside the box that deceived goalkeeper Sabater, making it 1-0.
The visitors reacted and began to control the game. After a shot by Aitor was parried by Marcos Pérez and hit the crossbar, Poblense managed to equalize. Onofre capitalized on a header assist from Aitor following a throw-in by Salvà to level the score at 1-1.
Before halftime, and when it seemed the score would remain tied, Terrassa FC took the lead again. Aythami finished a long play with an impossible curling shot for goalkeeper Sabater, making it 2-1 at the end of the first half.
The second half saw a more incisive Poblense. After a clear penalty on Josemi, Sergio Cortés missed the spot-kick, saved by Sabater. Shortly after, from a corner kick, Onofre headed the ball and a Terrassa FC defender scored an own goal, restoring the 2-2 tie.
The winning goal for the visitors came in a controversial play. On a quick counter-attack, Dani Nieto assisted Marco, who scored the decisive 2-3 in what appeared to be an offside position. This defeat leaves Terrassa FC in a very difficult situation to achieve their play-off objectives.
