The city of Terrassa celebrated the 19th edition of the Relativity Conference this February 15th, marking the return of this scientific gathering to the Vallès Occidental region.

Organized by the local Astronomy Association, the event was opened by Mayor Jordi Ballart. After several years without being held, the conference once again turned the Municipal Auditorium into a hub for scientific culture and high-level knowledge sharing.
The main topic of discussion was gravitational waves, which were first detected a decade ago. Renowned specialists Alicia Sintes, Josep Maria Trigo, and Lucía Castells delivered presentations aimed at making complex physics theories accessible to the general public.
This initiative reinforces Terrassa's position as a leader in scientific outreach, successfully bridging the gap between academic research and the local community through the study of relativity.
