The Hospital de Sant Llàtzer in Terrassa presented on Monday a new Pediatric Support Device Bank, designed to facilitate the exchange of orthopedic equipment for families in need.

This initiative is a collaboration between the Consorci Sanitari de Terrassa, Cooperativa Magroc, and the Terrassa City Council. It aims to provide coverage for children and youth up to 18 years old, complementing the existing service for adults.
The bank offers items such as wheelchairs, walkers, and bath hammocks. Since children outgrow these devices quickly, the service promotes a circular model where equipment no longer in use can be donated and reused by others.
The service relies on private donations and operates on a deposit basis. Healthcare professionals will be responsible for evaluating requests and assigning the appropriate devices to families.
