The Diverse Abilities Service of the Terrassa City Council has launched a new WhatsApp channel to enhance communication and access to relevant information for people with disabilities and their families.

The new channel, named “Capacitats Diverses Terrassa”, aims to offer a swift channel for disseminating information on services, activities, calls for applications, aid, and other news related to this field. As highlighted by Meritxell Lluís, deputy mayor and councillor for Diverse Abilities and Accessibility, the goal is to provide information that is "more accessible, direct, and useful".
Lluís emphasized that continuous improvement of communication channels and updating available resources are crucial for progressing towards a city that is "more inclusive and accessible for everyone". This initiative is part of the municipal commitment to foster a more approachable and accessible city.
In parallel, the Diverse Abilities Service has released the third edition of the General Resource Guide for People with Disabilities. This digital version, updated and expanded, aims to "facilitate orientation and support in various aspects of daily life."
The guide compiles a wide range of support resources and services available in both Terrassa and Catalonia, covering areas such as administrative procedures, financial benefits, information and advisory services, specialized entities, education and training, employment, support products, health, family support, accessible transport, and housing.
