The Mayor of Terrassa, Jordi Ballart, visited the new facilities of MónTerrassa to celebrate the digital media outlet's tenth anniversary and learn about its new projects.

The Mayor of Terrassa, Jordi Ballart, visited the new headquarters of the digital newspaper MónTerrassa this Tuesday, located on Faraday street in Ca n’Aurell. The visit aimed to provide a firsthand look at the media outlet's journalistic work, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year.
During the meeting, Ballart showed particular interest in the preparation of a new print magazine to be published semi-annually. The first issue is scheduled for release at the end of June, just before the city's Festa Major. This new publication will complement the daily information that MónTerrassa has been providing through its website for the past decade.
In the meeting with the publication's director, Vicenç Batalla, and editor, Salvador Cot, they reviewed the digital outlet's evolution, which has established itself as an informational benchmark in Terrassa, covering political, social, economic, sports, and cultural topics. The main focus areas of the new print magazine, which will offer more in-depth content such as dossiers, reports, and interviews, were also detailed.
The mayor highlighted the importance of new media initiatives that enrich communication and the identity of Terrassa. The new newsroom for MónTerrassa was officially inaugurated on May 8th, with the presence of political and institutional representatives, including the President of the Parliament of Catalonia, Josep Rull.
The inauguration also featured speeches from the Director General of Media of the Generalitat, Marc Melillas, the Deputy Mayor of Terrassa, Xavier Cardona, and the journalist Vicenç Villatoro. Additionally, Mayor Ballart personally unveiled a mural by TwoCanStudio depicting a skyline of Terrassa on the headquarters' shutters.
