Terrassa Municipal Police incorporates twelve new officers

The force reaches 290 members following an institutional ceremony held at the City Hall's Session Hall.

The Terrassa Municipal Police has officially added twelve new officers to its staff, following a credential delivery ceremony held this Wednesday at the City Hall's Session Hall.

With this addition, the municipal force now has 290 officers. This figure brings the city closer to the recommended ratio of one officer per 1,000 inhabitants. The new officials formalized their commitment to the position through the standard oath before the authorities present.
The new members have previously completed the basic training course at the Institut de Seguretat Pública de Catalunya and internal training. They will now begin a 12-month internship period integrated into the Territorial Division.

During the ceremony, the need to continue working on public safety and proximity was highlighted. The commanders emphasized the importance of maintaining empathy when serving the public, especially with vulnerable individuals, stressing that police work goes beyond the strict enforcement of regulations.
