The Terrassa City Council has launched an emergency plan to provide alternative parking for Can Boada residents after a fire disabled 370 spaces at the local market's private parking lot.

Local authorities are working to prepare two vacant lots as temporary parking zones. This initiative aims to mitigate the impact of the closure of the facility, which suffered significant structural damage last Friday during a fire on the -2 floor.
As an immediate fix, residents with reduced mobility have been granted access to the Lluís Companys parking area. Meanwhile, officials are in talks with the Esclat supermarket to determine if their private lot can accommodate more neighborhood vehicles.

"We are evaluating all possible alternatives to provide solutions and minimize the impact that the provisional closure of this private parking lot may have on the neighborhood's daily life."

Technical inspections confirmed that high temperatures damaged the building's structure. Consequently, the Municipal Police have cordoned off the site. The council has pledged to fast-track the rehabilitation permits once the private owners submit their repair plans.
