The mobile recycling point in Terrassa closed 2025 with a historic record of 31,676 users, consolidating an upward trend that has seen 60.5% growth since 2020.

This figure represents an increase of 2,696 people compared to the previous year and highlights the consolidation of a service that, over the past five years, has grown from 19,734 users to over 31,600. Currently, the twelve recycling routes serve an average of 125 people daily, a 10.1% increase from the previous year.

"The results of the mobile recycling point service are further evidence of the profound transformation Eco-Equip is undergoing, where we are investing sustainably in its modernization, and this is reflected in the improved quality of services offered by the municipal company."

Xavier Cardona · Deputy Mayor for Territory and Housing and Councillor for Cleaning
Councillor Cardona also added that the increase in demand is 'further proof of the service's consolidation among citizens, and the result of a clear commitment by this government to improve selective waste collection in Terrassa'.
By area, the Centre route records the highest influx, with an average of 201 people per day. Closely followed are the routes of Ca n'Aurell, Can Boada del Pi, and Can Boada, with 192 daily users, and that of Torrent d'en Pere Parres and Sant Pere Nord, with 184.
The mobile recycling point complements the fixed facilities at Can Casanovas and Can Barba, facilitating recycling for residents with reduced mobility or without a vehicle. The service is free and offers waste tax bonuses: a 10% discount for 4 to 6 annual contributions, 15% for 7 to 12, and 20% for more than twelve.
Small items such as batteries, computer scrap, small appliances, fluorescent lamps, mobile phones, car mineral oils, and cooking vegetable oils can be deposited. Bulky waste like furniture or mattresses is not accepted and must be taken to the fixed recycling points or collected by Eco-Equip by calling 900 720 135.
