The Socialists' Party of Catalonia in Terrassa has urged the municipal government to meet the needs of the Municipal Police and reach a labor agreement, showing support for the officers' demands.

The Socialists' Party of Catalonia in Terrassa has asked the municipal government to “satisfy” the needs of the Municipal Police and “reach an agreement”. The socialists met this Monday, June 15, with union representatives of the local security force, clearly siding with their demands.
Socialist councilor and mayoral candidate, Javi García, stated that “it is difficult to satisfy 100% of the staff's demands, but the municipal government has the obligation to reach an agreement to ensure officers can carry out their duties with full guarantees”. According to the socialists, every day that passes “without a clear response erodes the trust of both the staff and the citizens”.
The PSC considers it “unacceptable that the third largest city in Catalonia has its local police working in conditions we deem undignified”. They lament that the police station on Avinguda de les Glòries Catalanes suffers from “leaks, maintenance problems, and deficiencies in material resources, and even doubts about the safety of the facilities themselves”, according to union representation.
With the aim of finding a solution, the PSC has offered to act as mediators. “We offer our collaboration to help find a way out of this situation, even if it's short-term to address the most urgent deficiencies,” declared García, asking the local government to “act responsibly”.
