The updated Rodalies Plan 2020-2030 has removed the planned passenger station at Terrassa Oest (Can Boada sector), converting the infrastructure solely for technical railway use.

The decision means the infrastructure, previously listed as a strategic stop for the mobility of the city and the Vallès region, will not have platforms or passenger access. It will be dedicated to internal railway service functions, such as train parking and regulation.
This change has generated a strong reaction from the Terrassa City Council, as the mayor, Jordi Ballart, expressed his surprise and indignation that the council learned of the modification “by consulting the document online” without receiving any official prior communication.

"The only difference is that if you are not part of the governing party, you have the freedom to speak out publicly and explain the things you believe need to be explained in the most objective way possible"

Ballart recalled that the Terrassa Oest station is a historical demand. The project had advanced with the publication of the informative study in 2021, and even in 2023 the then Minister of Transport assured it would be completed by 2025. Facing this grievance, the municipal government demands urgent explanations from the Ministry of Transport and insists that the plan be rectified.
