Over 5,000 people marched through the streets of Sabadell this March 19 during a strike that turned Vallès Occidental into the heart of educational protests.

Two large columns of protesters marched along Gran Via before meeting at the Regional Education Services headquarters. The demonstration saw moments of tension as protesters threw eggs and tomatoes at the building's facade.

"We could summarize it in three main blocks: reducing bureaucracy, improving salaries, and lowering ratios."

The anger was also directed at the CCOO and UGT unions. Some protesters moved to their offices on La Rambla in Sabadell to criticize a recent agreement signed with the Department of Education.

"The education law sets a 6% budget and we are at less than half. It is impossible to work with dignity."
