The indefinite strike called by library staff across Catalonia has led to the closure of several centers in Sabadell, affecting user access during the weekends.

The mobilization, promoted by the CGT union, will take place every Friday and Saturday starting from June 5th. In Sabadell, the Safareigs and Sud libraries have suspended their activities due to the staff's participation in the strike.
Despite the protest, other municipal network facilities such as the Vapor Badia, Can Puiggener, Serra, Nord, and Ponent libraries maintain their regular hours. The study hall at the Vapor Badia library also remains operational for students preparing for their PAU exams.

"Library services may be affected during strike days, and it is recommended to check official municipal and Library Network channels before traveling."

Workers are demanding negotiations to improve working conditions, including salary increases, a review of Saturday shifts, and increased staffing levels. Furthermore, they are calling for updated quality standards and the implementation of hybrid remote work across the sector.
