A dozen wild boars, including adult specimens and piglets, have been observed roaming the Can Boada del Pi neighborhood in Terrassa. The animals entered a green area on Friday night into Saturday, where they ate and rested on the grass, according to images shared by a user.
Although they did not display aggressive behavior on this occasion, residents are expressing frustration over the nightly visits, which cause damage such as uprooting grass, breaking irrigation hoses, and overturning bins. A member of the Can Boada del Pi Residents' Association warned that the wild boars pose a danger, recalling a recent incident where a group of these animals nearly charged at some children.
The same source lamented the reckless behavior of some individuals, such as approaching the animals, and cautioned that "one day a tragedy will occur, whether by charge or by [traffic] accident." The neighborhood has submitted several petitions to municipal services and has spoken with technicians from the City Council and the Rural Agents, but they state that the situation remains unchanged.
The Residents' Association fears the problem will worsen, noting that if there are 20 wild boars today, there could be 50 in a few months. This situation has persisted for approximately a year.
