Worker Dies After Falling 10 Meters from a Roof in Cerdanyola del Vallès

The 49-year-old man fell from a height of ten meters while performing maintenance tasks; police are investigating the causes.

A 49-year-old worker died this Friday in Cerdanyola del Vallès after falling ten meters while performing maintenance tasks on a roof.

The fall occurred around 12:20 PM, the time when the Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan Police) received the alert about the workplace accident. The victim was performing maintenance tasks when, for reasons still under investigation, he fell.
Several citizen security and investigation patrols were mobilized, in addition to four units of the Bombers de la Generalitat (Firefighters) and personnel from the Sistema d'Emergències Mèdiques (SEM).
The Catalan police have launched an investigation to clarify the causes of the accident and have already informed the investigating court on duty in Cerdanyola del Vallès and the Department of Business and Labor, following the established protocol for fatal workplace accidents.
