The Rubí City Council has commenced works to improve the structure and waterproofing of the underground parking at Salvador Allende Square, with an estimated duration of six months.

The works, which began with preliminary tasks on June 22nd, now enter a new phase requiring an expanded work area and causing mobility disruptions.
From July 21st, Sant Sebastià street will be closed to traffic in the section crossing the square, a restriction expected to last until the end of the year, coinciding with the project's completion.
To minimize impact, alternative routes have been planned. Residents needing access to Sant Sebastià street must provide their vehicle registration numbers to [espaipublic@ajrubi.cat](mailto:espaipublic@ajrubi.cat) to be able to circulate.
The educational community of Regina Carmeli can use nearby parking facilities such as Escardívol or Can Fatjó. For students with special educational needs, a temporary permit must be requested from [illa@ajrubi.cat](mailto:illa@ajrubi.cat).
An accessible pedestrian passage of at least 1.80 meters wide will be maintained on the west side of the square.
Commercial logistics will also be affected. Access to the loading and unloading zone on Sant Joan street will be via permitted routes, adhering to the established hours (Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 11 AM and 3 PM to 4 PM, and Saturdays from 7:30 AM to 11 AM) to avoid fines.
