The Department of Feminism and Equality of the Montcada i Reixac City Council has started working on a new Local Protocol for the Comprehensive Approach to Gender-Based Violence, updating the document in force since 2016.

The main objective of this update is to adapt the protocol to current needs, establishing more coordinated, agile, and effective action mechanisms for the prevention, detection, and attention of gender-based violence. The new document aims to improve intervention and support circuits, as well as the comprehensive response to women affected by violence.
The first working session took place on October 1st at the Casal de la Gent Gran Casa de la Mina, bringing together various municipal services and territorial agents. This meeting served to present the process and conduct an initial diagnosis of existing resources, identifying strengths and areas for improvement in coordination and care.
Representatives from the Servei d'Ocupació de Catalunya (SOC), the Servei Local d'Ocupació, the Centre de Recursos Pedagògics, the Serveis d'Intervenció Especialitzada, the Primary Care Centers of Montcada and Les Indianes, the security forces, and the municipality's educational centers participated in the session.
The Department of Feminism and Equality is working with the advice of La Groc, a consultancy specializing in intersectional gender perspective, to assist in the review and update of the protocol.
“

"It is important to update the intervention framework to build an effective network that provides a more coordinated, close, and adequate response to gender-based violence that may occur in our municipality. We want to continue advancing in prevention, detection, and attention, strengthening coordination between different services and ensuring a comprehensive, agile response centered on women's needs."
