The approval of the municipal naming convention, which establishes the official street names, was unanimous in the extraordinary Plenary session held on Wednesday, October 28. This was a necessary preliminary step to be able to renew the street signs.
The fiscal ordinances for 2027 were approved with 7 votes in favor and 5 against. The urban property tax rate increases from 0.642% to 0.658%. For industrial properties with higher cadastral value, the increase has been linked to the CPI, with a total rise of 3.9%.
Regarding the waste fee, the annual charge for a household with two residents increases from 76 to 82.08 euros, and for a household with four or five residents, from 108 to 116 euros. The charges for unoccupied residences and inactive commercial premises remain at 30 euros. The deadline to apply for reductions is extended to December 31, and existing reductions will be maintained automatically in 2027 if requirements continue to be met.
The new municipal naming convention includes the assignment and modification of street names, such as the correction of the name of Isidre Nunell street, the modification of the name of Palau de Plegamans street to the official name of the neighboring municipality, Palau-solità i Plegamans, and the change from carretera del Ramal a Sabadell to avinguda del Ramal a Sabadell. The list was compiled by a naming commission created by the Plenary itself. The descriptions of the names are pending approval, after which the new street signs can be ordered.
