The Ripollet City Council is working on repairing the roofs of the Josep M. Ginesta school and the Jaume Tuset CFA, which were affected by the torrential rains of the first weekend of October. The repairs are expected to be carried out in the coming weeks.

The intense rains caused numerous damages due to leaks in the roofs of both educational centers. The Jaume Tuset Adult Education Center was forced to close and suspend classes due to the damage and plaster detachments from the ceiling. Classes resumed this week in the afternoon, temporarily relocated to the Institut Lluís Companys, and possibilities are being studied to also relocate the morning classes and workshops of the Jaume Tuset Cultural Association.
After assessing the damage, the City Council aims to have the repairs to both roofs completed in the coming weeks. To this end, it will utilize the urgent measures package of 75 million euros approved by the Generalitat to ensure a rapid recovery for the affected municipalities.
This week, Mayor Luis Tirado and the Councilor for Education, Óscar López, met with the directors of the centers, the Jaume Tuset Association, and members of the AFA of the Ginesta school to discuss the planned actions and potential class relocations.
