The Rubí Municipal Archive has begun digitizing seventeen census records from the 19th and 20th centuries (1842-1970) to ensure their preservation and facilitate online access.

This initiative will allow for the storage of a total of 15,426 pages in high quality, making them available to researchers. Municipal census records are valuable documentary sources for historical, demographic, and genealogical research, as they include family data, ages, birthplaces, occupations, and education levels, as well as information on urban development.
Thanks to its membership in the Municipal Archives Network (XAM) of the Diputació de Barcelona, the Rubí Municipal Archive has received a subsidy covering half the cost of this project.
Rubí already has digital documents of population registers prior to 1842, including one from 1716, as well as digitized minutes of Plenary sessions, Government Board meetings, and local historical press from previous campaigns.
