The supermarket chain Mercadona confirmed that the Rensika factory in Rubí has resolved the incident that halted the production of its popular classic hummus, which returns to stores starting Wednesday, December 17.

A few weeks ago, Mercadona customers noticed the absence of their star product, hummus, due to a production stoppage at the Rensika plant, located in Rubí (Vallès Occidental).
According to the chain, the incident has been completely resolved and production has been restored to normal. This allows the classic hummus to progressively arrive at supermarkets in Catalonia starting this Wednesday, December 17.
Replenishment will extend to the rest of Spain over the next few days. However, alternative varieties, such as olive hummus or piquillo pepper hummus, are still pending reintroduction, and the company is working to offer them as soon as possible.
