The municipal group Neighbors for Rubí will present a motion at the Plenary Session on Thursday, January 29, to reject the Generalitat's decision to condition the second FGC station at La Llana on the new POUM urban development.

The municipal group Veïns per Rubí (VR) will bring a motion to the Rubí Municipal Plenary Session, scheduled for Thursday, January 29, to express its rejection of the stance taken by the Department of Territory of the Generalitat de Catalunya. This stance conditions the construction of the second Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) station at La Llana on the urban development outlined in the new Municipal Urban Planning Plan (POUM).

"Currently, for our municipality, where we only have one FGC station, deficient coverage is offered to a large part of the city, which represents a comparative disadvantage with other municipalities in our area."

The motion by VR seeks to reclaim the spirit of the Declaració de Can Serra, a previous agreement that united political parties and economic and social entities to jointly demand this infrastructure. The party demands that the Generalitat initiate the necessary procedures to develop the project without further delay.
Rubí has been demanding the construction of a second FGC station for over a decade to significantly improve rail coverage, especially in areas such as the Zona Nord, the Plana del Castell neighborhood, the housing developments, and the La Llana industrial estate. The municipal group regrets that, despite the clear need, no significant progress has been made.
