The concert, a well-established tradition in the city of Rubí, will be held at 7 PM at the Casal Popular, located at 14 Pere Esmendia Street. Admission is completely free for all attendees, promoting access to traditional Catalan culture.
The first part of the program includes six significant sardanas. Pieces to be performed include Solemnitat by Conrad Saló i Ramell, Galanesa by Anna Abad i Gils, and Rubí, sardana d'or by Fèlix Martínez i Comín. Attendees will also hear Montserrat by Vicenç Bou i Geli, Nadal montserratí by Xavier Ventosa i Molner, and Flors a la moreneta by Ricard Viladesau i Caner.
The event is a key meeting point for lovers of Catalan popular culture and traditional music, keeping the Christmas tradition alive.
The second part of the concert, performed by the Cobla Jovenívola de Sabadell, will offer a repertoire combining sardanas and showcase pieces. Highlights include Llicorella by Juli Garreta i Arboix, La nit de Nadal by Josep Grivé i Simón, and the cobla showcase Qui no pugui que plegui by Pere Fontàs i Puig.
The program will conclude with the waltzes Valsejant by Manel Saderra i Puigferrer and Bisbalenc by Max Havart i Corou, finishing with the sardana Sortint de concert by Lluís Albert i Rivas, thus closing the 46th Christmas Concert.
