The Rubí City Council has begun the installation of Christmas lighting, which will be switched on next November 27. This year's campaign includes new elements and expands coverage to different parts of the city, increasing from 1,071 to 1,151 units.

The installation of the lighting systems has already started in the city's streets. In early November, the setup of various Christmas ornaments will also begin, aiming to have everything ready for the official switch-on.
This is the second campaign under a two-year contract that governs Rubí's lighting and decorations for the 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 seasons. This year, new elements are being incorporated, and coverage is being extended to different parts of the city, increasing from 1,071 lighting units last year to 1,151 this year.
The expansion includes new elements along the Terrassa road and around the Bullidor building, as well as installations in various streets and squares such as Plaça d'Andalusia, Plaça d'Anselm Clavé, Plaça d'Estanislau Figueres, and Passeig de Les Torres. The illumination of some existing spaces will also be enhanced, using warm white LED cords, garlands, and other luminous elements. Plaça Catalunya will receive special lighting, as will the facade and balconies of the City Council building.
In addition to the lighting, the range of ornaments is being expanded. Elements like the word LOVE in Plaça Catalunya, the giant tree in Plaça de l'Ajuntament, a walk-through giant bell, and new figures in Plaça Onze de Setembre will be maintained. The decoration will be completed with sets of reindeer and snowflakes.
The estimated contract budget for both campaigns is 413,820 euros for the lighting and 216,629.06 euros for the ornaments, covering supply, installation, maintenance, and removal.
