The bank registered 1.775 million euros in net profit during González-Bueno's final full year, a figure 2.8% lower than the previous year, primarily attributed to fewer extraordinary items recorded. However, the bank emphasized that, on comparable terms, results increased by 3.4% last year.

The results presentation, held at the operational headquarters in Sant Cugat del Vallès, confirmed the CEO's departure, who will be succeeded by Marc Armengol. González-Bueno stated that the decision to leave was his own and was communicated to the board, noting that the timing was opportune, especially after the sale of TSB.

The entity informed the CNMV of a share buyback plan worth 800 million euros. In total, the bank will remunerate its shareholders with a global amount of 4.000 million euros over 12 months, a strategy initially launched to counter the hostile takeover bid by BBVA.
In Spain, outstanding mortgage credit reached 39.800 million euros, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 5.2%. Consumer credit grew by 17.8%, reaching 5.400 million euros, demonstrating strong volume growth across all segments.
