From Escape Room to Private Theme Park: The New Generation of Immersive Entertainment in Catalonia

The SAGA Escape Rooms brand, which brings together the teams of Willy el Tuerto and Londium, is preparing El Garaje de DOC in Sabadell, a new large-format experience

Increasingly ambitious sets, integrated technology, and cinematic narratives are transforming the traditional escape room. In Vallès, this evolution is already translating into projects that blur the line between a game room and a small theme attraction.

Willy el Tuerto opened in Sabadell in 2020 with a pirate adventure that gained recognition within the Catalan scene. Years later, Londium expanded the scale from Montcada i Reixac with a steampunk proposal that reached the seventh position worldwide in the TERPECA 2025 awards.

Both experiences are part of SAGA Escape Rooms, a brand under which its creators share a way of understanding escapism based on atmosphere, technology, and the integration of challenges within the story.

The next project will be El Garaje de DOC, a new experience that will open soon in Sabadell.

The proposal will combine retro science fiction, large-scale sets, and effects designed to accompany the players' progress.

The project reflects a growing trend in the sector: it's no longer just about solving puzzles in a room, but about exploring scenarios and living a story to the point of wondering if you're in an escape room or a small private theme park.
