The Bombers de la Generalitat (Catalan Firefighters) deployed two units to Juli Garreta street, in the Cifuentes neighborhood of Sabadell, after receiving the alert shortly after 1:00 PM this Tuesday.
The large specimen fell onto the public road, blocking passage and leaving a car inaccessible. Despite the scare, emergency services confirmed that no one was injured in the incident.
This fall occurs amidst a rain and wind storm affecting particularly the northeast of Catalonia, with gusts reaching nearly 40 km/h in the city. Emergency services only recorded one other call for leaks on Maestrat street.
This marks the third such incident Sabadell has experienced since the start of the year. Previous events occurred on January 9 in the Àurea island area, in the Termes neighborhood, and last Saturday, when a pine tree fell near the Torre de l’Aigua (Water Tower).
