Centre d’Esports Sabadell, the league leader, visits third-placed Eldense this Saturday at 9 PM at the Nuevo Pepico Amat stadium to defend their advantage at the top of the table.

The Sabadell team, which has only lost one match all season, arrives with bruised pride after a frustrating draw at the Nova Creu Alta against Juventud Torremolinos. Despite two consecutive draws, their lead has extended to four points over their immediate rival, Eldense, who aims to maintain their stadium as a fortress.

"We only think that we have one more point in the standings. This is a long-distance race and there are moments of everything along the way. We only think about moving forward with everything."

Ferran Costa · CE Sabadell Coach
Coach Ferran Costa insisted that, despite the importance of the clash, “we cannot be playing finals in February.” The team is close to achieving its first objective but faces the match with significant absences due to injury (Jan Molina, David Astals, Sergi Segura, and José Ortega) and suspension (Carlos García).

"It is a very demanding away trip. They have only lost one home game in their entire history in the category, and that motivates us."

Eldense, which drew zero-zero in the first round at the Nova Creu Alta, has shown a clearly upward dynamic since the arrival of Claudio Barragán to the bench. They have only lost one of their last fifteen league games and feature key players like Fidel, Dioni, Manu Molina, and Nacho Quintana.
This will be the tenth confrontation between the two teams, with a very balanced historical record. The last precedent at the Nuevo Pepico Amat was the controversial 1-0 result in February 2023, following statements by Miki Lladó alleging supposed refereeing assistance for the Alicante team.
