The Sant Cugat City Council has awarded the works for the pedestrianization of Solà street to the company Obres i Serveis Deico, an action valued at 120,000 euros that will start soon and last for 10 weeks.

The street, located next to the Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat (FGC) station, will be transformed into a single platform to provide continuity to the existing pedestrian section, between Avinguda de Lluís Companys and Plaça de Lluís Puig i Tuneu.
The project includes the installation of a planter with climbing plants on the side wall beneath the train track to promote landscaping and natural rainwater drainage.
This intervention, which also involves widening the sidewalk and installing trees and benches, originated from the 2021 neighborhood participatory budgets and primarily aims to enhance pedestrian safety as it is part of the safe school routes.
