Families in Sant Cugat del Vallès gathered this Saturday, March 10th, at Plaça d'Octavià to denounce what they describe as a progressive dismantling of the local public education system.

The event, titled the Festa de la Pública, was organized by the Coordinadora d'AFES de Sant Cugat and AFFAC. Participants read a manifesto highlighting concerns over school line closures due to falling birth rates, suggesting instead that authorities should lower student-to-teacher ratios.

"There is a progressive dismantling of the public system."
