The Fundació Futbol Base Reus women's team lost 1-0 against Sant Cugat in Vallès Occidental, marking a losing debut for the new head coach, Raúl Lucha, this weekend.

The new coach, Raúl Lucha, fielded a starting eleven without major surprises, featuring Amato, Cendra, and Dalmau in attack, supported by Cinta Vilarroya. Notably, the team did not include any members of the previous coaching staff following the departure of Adri Calderón.
Facing a Sant Cugat side enjoying a positive run, the Reus players maintained defensive solidity, reaching halftime tied at zero. Lucha used the second half to give playing time to Nadine Pérez, Sara Armengol, and youth player Júlia Curto, who made her first-team debut.
Just when it seemed the team might leave Sant Cugat with a point, a foul inside the box by central defender Abril Sala resulted in a red card and a penalty kick. Lydia Bellmunt successfully converted the penalty, sealing the 1-0 victory for the hosts.
This marks the fourth consecutive adverse result for Fundació Futbol Base Reus in their debut season in the 3a RFEF. Their next challenge will be on Sunday afternoon against the third-ranked team, Fontsanta-Fatjó.
