The Sant Cugat City Council has opened the call for the 2026 Sant Cugat Awards to distinguish individuals and groups who stood out during 2025, with the submission deadline set for February 12.

Citizens interested in proposing candidates have until February 12, 2026, to complete the digital application via the Electronic Headquarters or submit the paper form at the OAC. Each proposal must include the name of the entity or person, a description of the merits achieved in 2025 (maximum 10 lines), and the endorsement of seven signatures including full name and DNI (ID number).
The awards ceremony, which recognizes impact in fields such as culture, sports, social, or neighborhood activism, will be held on Thursday, March 12, at 7 p.m. at the Teatre-Auditori Emma Vilarasau. Awardees will receive an exclusive artistic piece created by the Sant Cugat sculptor Pep Codó, inspired by the tradition of wearing a bean during the Aplec de Sant Medir, symbolizing the city's agricultural roots.
These awards were resumed last year, replacing the former Premis Ciutat de Sant Cugat, which were granted intermittently between 2005 and 2018. The first call served to cover pending recognitions from the years 2019 to 2023. In the 2024 edition, delivered on March 20, 2025, eight distinctions were awarded, including the Lifetime Achievement Award granted to playwright and cultural activist Dolors Vilarasau.
