Athletes Roger Andreu and Claudia Pérez clearly won the 39th edition of the Sant Cugat Half Marathon held this Sunday, setting a new participation record.

The 39th edition of the Sant Cugat Half Marathon, co-organized by the City Council and the Club Muntanyenc Sant Cugat, registered a record number of entries with over 2,250 athletes participating in the three modalities: 5, 10, and 21 kilometers.
In the men's category, the athlete from Sant Cugat Roger Andreu, representing the Club Esportiu Cerdanyola d’Atletisme, dominated the race from the start, crossing the finish line alone with a time of 1 hour, 10 minutes, and 58 seconds.
For her part, Sabadell resident Claudia Pérez achieved her first half marathon victory with a time of 1 hour, 23 minutes, and 54 seconds, also imposing herself with great authority.

This edition has broken the registration record, becoming the most numerous since the three race modalities were established jointly.

The 5 and 10-kilometer races served as alternatives to the traditional route. The 5 km event, with over 300 athletes, started promptly at 9 am from Pla del Vinyet avenue, while the 10 km and the half marathon began at 9:30 am, finishing at Plaça del Vila.
